About Us
Our passion is to show the world that South Africa can produce world class custom drums as unique as the country we live in.
dD Drums originated from the bond formed by two friends. One completely infatuated with wood and building furniture and the other obsessed with sound. The seed was planted one inebriated night and from the dedication and promises, came the handcrafted drums you see today.
Each drum is individually handmade and unique in the sound it bellows. Our shells are made from a variety of exotic woods, depending on the sound and look our clients prefer. We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction by providing the customer the choice of dimensions, exotic woods and choosing the proper lugs/hardware for the kit/snare. We engage with the customer throughout the production process to guarantee that the dream becomes a reality.
Each and every team member is a passionate drummer and talented creator. Making the very best drums and pushing drum design to the highest possible level isn’t just our job – it’s our whole lifestyle. We realize that drumming is an art, a craft, and for many of you even a job. We’re dedicated to giving you the perfect drums for your specific needs. Our workshop is situated in the heart of the winelands, Wellington. Inspired by the beautiful surroundings, we release a limited number of custom drums per year available for off the shelf purchase.
